What do Christians say about death?
Obviously various things, and even when they are basing what they say in scripture it depens on whether they’re reading 1 Thess, the Synopitc evangelists, John, Rev, or interpreing the OT.
But there are a few common threads
Xns belive that what will happens to us is patterned on what happened to J. And death was not the last word.
Death is not the end of hope. Trumpets, sea, etc.
Death is not the end of embodiment. The seed.
Some say res is future, some say it is simply beyond. But either way, the goodness and beaiuty that lives a troubled life on earth will be what saturates life in God. We will enjoy life as the images of God we were created to be.
